Professors’ Board

Its key responsibilities include:

• assisting in the development of strategic goals and scientific strategy,
• assisting in the development of principles regarding the planning and use of the Strategic Fund,
• assessment of the scientific activity of the university and its appearance at both national and international levels,
• giving a preliminary opinion on the Rector’s call for tenders , high level management  positions, university professor and research professor appointments, as well as the evaluation of the received applications,
• calling for the  "Researcher of the Year"; "Most Cited Researcher of the Year" and "Young Researcher of the Year" awards and prior appraisal  on the applications,
• reviewing  the nominations for the title of "Doctor Honoris Causa"
• reviewing the establishment of new Doctoral Schools. 

Members of the Council of Professors with the right to vote, confirmed by the Senate:

• the Vice-Rector for Research,
• Chairman of the University Doctoral and Habilitation Council,
• one professor, and one professor emeritus representing each of the seven faculties and the University Research and Innovation Center (EKIK) by the request of the Rector.

The Chairman of the Professors’ Board is the Vice-Rector for Research. The Secretary of the Professors’ Board is appointed by the Chairman.
