The Scientific Council is a proposing and implementing body of Óbuda University for matters related to scientific strategy and management.
Its key responsibilities include:
- the implementation of Óbuda University's strategic goals, with special regard to the university's appearance in national and international rankings,
- the management of scientific activity of the university,
- improving the research activities of the University and its (internal and) external representation;
- calling for and reviewing scientific-research scholarship applications of the university
The Scientific Council is composed of delegated voting members of the departments, bodies, and advocacy organizations as follows, confirmed by the Senate:
- the Vice-Rector for Research,
- the Vice Deans for research of the Faculties,
- the director of the University Research and Innovation Center (EKIK),
- a doctoral student and a student with active student status, delegated by the Doctoral Student Council in accordance with the Council’s statutes
The chairman of the Scientific Council is the Vice-Rector for Research, and the secretary is appointed by the chairman.
The Head of Tender Management and Knowledge Transfer Office participates in the work of the Scientific Council with consulting rights.
